The housing development of the site will be concentrated on the southern part of the site south of the Packman Dyke watercourse.
The proposal will provide around 170 new homes, of which 30% – 51 dwellings – would be affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.
New homes would be designed sympathetically to reflect local styles and materials. The relationship has been looked at carefully between existing and proposed housing along the south western boundary of the site to reduce any impacts on residential amenity and to this goal, one and two bed bungalows are proposed along the majority of this boundary.
Across the site, a range of dwellings are proposed including one and two-bedroom maisonettes, two, three and four-bedroom detached, semi-detached and terraced houses and two bedroom bungalows.
